Yoga classes taught with compassion

Mellow Meditation

This may be the class that has the least amount of movement, but allowing the body to surrender to stillness improves both physical and mental well-being. For the first half of the class, we will work through gentle movement and breathwork before a guided meditation with Tania. Meditation is incredibly beneficial for stress relief, self-esteem, resilience, honouring shifting seasons, setting intentions and balance.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is both profound and simple but focuses on a quieter and longer approach that fortifies the body over time by applying duress and relaxing muscles. Each class will consist of breathwork and then four to five asanas (poses) that are held for three to five minutes. This method targets deeper tissues, ligaments and deep fascial networks.  The body responds to the stress we impose during this practice by rebounding and strengthening the target area so that over time the tissues thicken. Props are supplied to support all experience levels and aid the body in holding the poses.

Morning Flow

Warm up your body and start your day on an enlightened foot with Morning Flow. Through mindful movement and breathwork, Surya Namaskara (The Sun Salutation) induces a greater awareness and is generally practised at sunrise. Solar energy vitalises the body, and this sequence of asanas (poses) not only warms up the body but stretches, tones and loosens muscles, joints and internal organs. We will be building up to two rounds of 12 asanas. These poses activate the psychic channels in the body and correspond with the rhythms of the Universe– the 24 hours of the day, the astrological calendar and the biorhythms of the human body.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is effortless. It aims to reconnect the mind and soul for rejuvenation– whilst our Mellow Meditation class splits between movement and stillness, Yoga Nidra is a scripted practice that balances between the sweetness of doing nothing, relaxing the body and stretching. Lie back, get cosy and relax for an hour as we guide you on a narrative through the body.

Stretch & Release

The aim of this class is to recharge the body gently. Asanas (poses) are intentionally practised at a slower pace to allow the parasympathetic nervous system to relax. This slows down our heart and breathing rate, lowers blood pressure and promotes digestion. This class is a perfect way to start or end the day!
